“Clean lines.”

We all crave that pattern that combines the meditative with a little bit of thinking. The Bias ‘Before & After’ Scarf is perfect for that. The simplicity of stockinette, with a little bit of business on the ends of the knit rows creating the bias detail. We couldn’t resist knitting a stripey version (who could?), and we wrote a Bias ‘Before & After’ adaptation that shows you how easy it is. In Isager , this scarf is a lovely knit on summer days. This fingering-weight yarn is created by spinning one strand of cotton with one strand of linen. Each plant fiber takes the dye a little differently—where cotton has a soft, matte finish, the linen has a subtle sheen. Creating a beautifully drapey fabric, Bomulin is stupendous for a summery Scarf!

NEEDLES/NOTIONS
US 7 (4.5mm) needles, or size to obtain gauge.
US 9 (5.5mm) needles, or two sizes larger than gauge needle, for binding off.
Two short blocking wires.
Tapestry needle to finish.
